Are The Shelves In The Freezer Adjustable?

There is an extra set of inserts for a shelf in the top of the freezer and at first look it is either a shelf short or the shelves are adjustable. Talking to the seller I am told that the number of shelves is correct. I can lift a shelf and it snaps when lifted up however I can not figure how to remove the shelf. Are these shelves adjustable?

The shelves CLICK when at the TOP and BOTTOM of the openings on the sides. If the shelf is LOOSE in the MIDDLE it easily can slide left or right enough to move the shelf. I downloaded the manual and it says nothing about it. Had to stick my entire head in there to look at the holes on the sides. Frustrating.
