Makes Really Loud Grinding Noises.

In the beginning, middle and end of cycle.

Mine made the same noise. The nut on the drive pully for the tub was loose. it is a crimp nut with loctite that looked like it was never fully tightened to begin with. The belt guard was begining to wear through where the pully and belt had started back off and move down.

I removed the nut and inspected the pully and shaft splines, there was some wear from slipping but not enough to keep slipping if fully engaged and tight.

I reinstalled the pully and nut and tightened fully. There was about an 1/8" of shaft showning before and 1/4 to 5/16" showing after completely tight.

The washer was just over a year old and has been makin the noise for about 2-3 months now. This was my fix and it cost 0 dollars....check this out before calling the repair man.
