Xm Satellite Radio Frequent Signal Drop-outs

I live in a suburban/rural area North and West of Washington D.C. and 40 miles West of Baltimore. I have no tall buildings or other obstructions around my house. My XM antenna is in a South-facing window. I have been an XM subscriber for many years and never had any reception problems until about a year to a year and a half ago. I am experiencing constant signal drop-outs, sometimes worse, rarely better. The signal drops to zero or near zero about every 5 to 8 minutes and sometimes lasts up to 45 to 60 seconds at a time. I can no longer put up with this and am seriously considering cancelling my subscripton and just getting an Internet radio. I'm wondering if XM is having technical problems steming from their merger with Sirius, since I hear that their equipment was incompatible (like VHS and Betamax?). I would like to (1) get a feel for how many other XM customers are experiencing these signal drop-outs and (2) is Sirius/XM working to correct this problem with any hope of resolving it any time soon? I am confident that the problem does not lie with my equipment, which has worked flawlessly since I first signed up approximately 6 years ago. Could there be a problem using my existing receiver, a Delphi MyFi XMtoGo unit (that I love) with the new merged Sirius/XM satellite transmission?

I have noticed the same problem for about the last 6 months. Dropouts on my XM radio, which I have used for about 4 years have become much more frequent and prolonged. I have always enjoyed the variety of programming, but if this continues, it will be so long, XM, and back to FM and the IPOD.
