I've received your message, but you misunderstood my instructions. Checking the box to the left of the word "Delete" will delete all your messages in that folder.

Since my prior answer is probably inaccessible, I've repeated it here:

In your Inbox, or other folder:

Scroll down to your email messages to load more than the initial 50 messages.
Select the checkbox to the left of "Delete" at the top of your message list.
Click Delete .
