It's impossible for an independent help site like Help Owl to determine why your messages are disappearing -- and, as you probably know, Yahoo does not offer direct support. You could try Yahoo's help forum, or just create a different account.

Yahoo has a form you can submit to restore lost messages. However, it says it will not restore messages outside a 24-hour window.

If you use Yahoo! Mail Classic, submit this form.
If you use All New Yahoo! Mail, submit this form.
