I have been locked out of my Yahoo account for no reason. The message says they do not recognize the device I am using. I am using the same public library computer I have used for 10 years!!!! I have used the same Yahoo account for 10 years!!! I need to get to my account NOW!!!!!!!!!! I cannot do anything without my account!!!!! Please help!

Greetings - This security measures are taken to protect your account from hackers who may hack into your accont and violate your privacy and more. But of cause, if you logged in from the same usual computer, then it is obvious that their systems are in error. Try log from your cell phone or a different computer and observe. The sad thing is that (though possible) it is not that easy to discuss issues concerning account securities with Yahoo. Do please keep us posted if any other needed assistance arises.

If you are on the same computer you have always been on then the computer may need cookies deleted and then rebooted. However, since this is not your computer I am not sure you are allowed to do this if the computer is the property of your local Library.

However, you can use Yahoo's Account Recovery Wizard to try and gain access to your account once again.

Once at the wizard screen you have 3 optionss to choose from as to why you can not access your account. Just pick the one closest to your situation. ie: Pssible compromise to my account.

If this does not resolve your issue you may have to contact Yahoo online by using their Contact Us link.
