Reversed Polarities On Battery, Blew 20amp Fuse. What Damages Have I Caused?

Remove batt connections and replace fuse with proper type.reinstall battery correctly and if you get no sparks and fuse does'nt blow you may be ok.If not,diodes or rectifire/regulator may need to be replaced.
