Front Panel Display

The front panel display on the receiver is extremely dim and almost impossible to read during the day. The level you can set in the menu is all the way up. Is there a fix for this? Is this a component issue or is the display itself defective? The driver is probably good since I ran the diagnosstics and all the segments are there. Bad cap maybe? Thank you.
