Help!

I had the same problem with ITUNES once and came to figure out that even though I was trying to use a Gift Card, I had to have current billing information (ie my credit card info, etc) in their system before it would accept the purchase. Once I entered that, it accepted the Gift Card and I didn't owe anything, so I'm thinking it was just to have in case perhaps the purchase exceeded the amount of the Gift Card, etc., the remainder would post to my current billing information.
