TV SETTINGS FOR VIZIO SVXVT
I've tinkered with Vizio's SV471XVT TV video settings for months now, and I've come up with this TV's best possible settings combination. This was derived from testing numerous high def movies, as well as regular TV programming over a multitude of other combinations and countless hours. I no longer have to second guess this perfect combination. NOTE: The only picture adjustment that varies program-to-program, network-to-network and movie-to-movie is the SHARPNESS feature. One can generally leave it on 4, but for certain low artifact movies and broadcasts, one can bump it up to a (maximum) of 5. Let your eye be the judge and only use 5 if the source has low video noise/artifacts. One more thing: I absolutely love Vizio's Real Cinema Mode. Perhaps you're already using it. If not, try it for a good while giving your eyes a chance to get used to it. If you don't like the realistic, almost 3D video presentation, then just turn it off.If you're going experiment with your own settings, perhaps compare yours to mine, then pick another TV Mode(s) for yours. Toggle between TV modes comparing the combination settings. The first thing you must adjust are your light settings; that includes your Color Temperature setting under Advanced Video. Colors and other settings are then added to these light adjustments and will vary depending on your light settings.
1) Pick your picture mode, whether Standard, Movie, whatever. I happened to program the following settings in VIVID mode, because that's exactly what you're going to see. Just leave your TV in your new programmed mode and enjoy the best possible picture this marvelous TV can provide you. See for yourself. It's undeniable!
2) Backlight = 93
3) Brightness = 46
4) Contrast = 21
5) Color = 28
6) Tint = 0
7) Sharpness = 4 (most generally); sometimes = 5
Advanced Video
8) Noise Reduction = Strong
9) Color Enhancement = Rich
10) Advanced Adaptive Luma = Extend
11) Backlight Control = DCR
12 Color Temperature = Computer; Red = 37; Green = 50; Blue = 85 (trust me)
13) Film Auto
14) Smooth Motion > Smooth Motion Effect = High
15) Real Cinema = (Smooth); I love this feature and mode best of all. If you can't get used to this real effect, then turn it off.
