What is the procedure to return Uverse equipment after closing my account. Can I bring it to the local AT&T store?

I Can Not Play A Vcr Or Dvd On My Equipment After Uverse Was Installed.
The instructions left by your tech do not work. I have to disconnect uverse cable to use vcr player.
