Not knowing what your current enrollment includes, I would suggest that you begin by going online to http://www.att.com/ and log in or register if you do not have an online account set up. Or you can go directly to the AT&T U-verse contact page specifically to Change Existing Services: http://www.att.com/econtactus/# where you will select from the onscreen menu. Once you select, you will be asked to register or sign in.
From the subsequent pages (you might have to come back to the above page, you can view your current service levels and view service reduction options. You'll find options in various drop down menus as you point to them.
You can also call AT&T U-verse 1-800-288-2020, work your way through the automated switchboard and talk to a live person during normal business hours. You would explain what you wanted and you would get answers.
Because it can be confusing, I suggest you pull up the online page which shows the channel options with each rate scale and be prepared to make notes.
I would advise you to ask the phone rep about additional one time charges because I ran into a problem when I downgraded my landline phone service recently. No amount of explanation can justify the double charge - so please ask the right questions and don't be afraid to challenge that based upon years of service.
