Tv/internet Connection

My new Sharp TV has an internet connection for a cat 5 cable to access the internet. The router does not recognize the TV by assigning it an IP address. Something is blocking the access. Sharp tech service tells me that ports 80 and 443 need to be open. How do I open these port so that I can use this feature of my new TV?
