Black Screen

I often get a black screen on one channel but when you go to the "info" button on the remote, you can see the picture working but not on the main screen. There is also no sounds. It's very frustrating. What is happening?

I'm not sure that I can explain what is happening but I am quite familiar with the issue because it has happened here. I called AT&T U-verse tech support and they couldn't explain it either; they were surprised, however.

That said rebooting about 4 times seemed to resolve the problem.

Press the AT&T button on the upper left corner of the remote. Power off from the remote and then hold the Power button on the remote for 5-10 seconds. If the picture still isn't restored try again. You can also depress the AT&T button and then hold the power button on the receiver until the lights flash.

Once the TV and receiver is powered on, your picture and sound should be restored. If they aren't call 800-288-2020 and select Tech Support because you need to walk through the solution with a live person who can also look at what is happening with your equipment.
