Laptop Video Issue
I have an Aspire 5517, removed the hard drive and memory to upgrade. I reinstalled the original parts back into the laptop and now I have no video at all.

When you removed the hard drive you removed the drivers for the video card simply place your system recovery disc in your CD or DVD player and do a fresh boot up. If you can see the BIOS during the setup your good to go. If you did not replace the drive or just removed it and put it back in you will have to boot and see if the BIOS pops again if it does then the onboard video card is working.
If you cannot see a BIOS the startup language you will have to reinstall the operating system completely the drivers software is mounted on your recovery discs.
Or simply your video card took a dump this is common with lap tops. They get overheated and the solder gets weak and cracks. Lets hope this is not the case.
