Duty Free Items
Duty Free items purchased that are hand carried are often not permitted on connecting airlines due to number of luggage restrictions. Problem: The traveler purchasing duty free items is required to combine the items with carry on luggage. Those purchased items that don't fit must be discarded and/or left behind. The problem appears that connecting airlines do not take duty free items into consideration and treat it as additional luggage even on sister flights.
