Dealer Policies O Servicing Older Audis

Hello .. I have a 2001 tt quattro sportster with around seventy thousand miles on it. The car looks almost brand new inside and out. Over the last month I have brought the car for minor repairs to my local Audi dealer. Once for a simple lean code check, another because the analytics were showing a cylinder misfire was detected. The first time I took it in for the lean code I was told that they do not fix these on a 2001 tt sportster and that I would have to find an independent shop as audi no longer can supply the parts for the repair.Last week I dropped it off at our local Audi dealer for a simple cylinder misfire and this morning I was told that most likely the service manager will not want to work on the Audi because of it's age. I am perplexed to say the least that Audi does not stand by the servicing of it's own product if in fact this is an Audi policy or that a dealer would be certified given the lack of interest in servicing an older car and thus refusing to do so. It seems to me that a car of that caliber would be welcome for servicing regardless of the age of the car, especially in light of the low miles and excellent condition of the car. My primary question is one: if this is the policy of Audi or the local dealer. Two: is Audi OK with a dealer sending away a loyal Audi owner simply does not want to service an older model Audi? this does not bode well for the brand if that's the case.

Sorry for your problems. This is more a complaint than a question, and as such you've directed it to the wrong place. (We're an independent help site not connected with Audi.) Use this corporate contact information:

http://www.corporateofficeowl.com/audi/Corporate%20Office.

In addition, you may want to consider a review/complaint site like www.complaintsboard.com/,,, http://www.consumeraffairs.com/, or https://www.yelp.com/, each of which may get action from the offending companies
