Hi there,

To remove the butt pad on a Browning A-Bolt without any visible screw holes, it is likely that the pad is glued on. Here are the steps you can follow to remove it:

1. Start by applying heat to the butt pad using a hairdryer or a heat gun. Be careful not to overheat it, as excessive heat can damage the stock.

2. Once the pad feels warm, use a thin, flat tool such as a putty knife or a credit card to gently pry the pad away from the stock. Start at one end and work your way along the edge, applying even pressure.

3. As you work your way around, continue to apply gentle heat to the pad to keep the glue soft and pliable. Be patient and take your time to avoid damaging the pad or the stock.

4. Once you have loosened one side of the pad, repeat the process on the opposite side until you can fully remove it from the stock. If needed, use more heat to soften any stubborn spots.

5. After removing the pad, clean any remaining adhesive residue from the stock using an adhesive remover or a mild solvent. Be cautious and test it on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't damage the stock finish.

It's important to note that the process might vary depending on the specific model of your Browning A-Bolt, so it's always a good idea to consult the firearm's user manual or seek guidance and assistance from a certified gunsmith if you are unsure about any steps.
