Exposure

The exposure timing on the camera is too long resulting in an over exposed image. The over exposure is not consistent, with the zoom having some effect on the problem. Casio say they do not have any spare parts.

If the exposure timing is as you say wrong and inconsistent, the camera is defective, and your only recourse is to replace it. One hopes it's not a design defect--and if it's not, the same model should be fine.
