How Can I Go About Cancelling My Paid Membership

It is very difficult to cancel your paid membership at Classmates.com but you can do so with continued dilegence.

• The first thing to do is to sign in to your Classmates.com account.
• Change your payment status from automatic to manual
• Take a screen shot of the saved changes
• Exit the site and then return to check your payment status. 
• Now you can begin the cancellation status although I suggest waiting a couple of days to make sure that you payment status isn't defaulted back to automatic - which many people have reported.
• Sign in
• Select a reason for cancelling
• Click: Remove Registration
• Click: YES to confirm
• Then you are supposed to contact the Classmates.com Member Care Team regarding your request.
• They are supposed to contact you via email.

• Note: You may cancel your All-Access Pass (previously known as a Gold membership) and/or remove your name from our site; however, per the Terms of Service to which you agreed when you submitted your payment, membership fees are non-refundable. Please keep in mind that a cancellation will result in the forfeiture of your membership fee.

You will need to contact your bank or your credit card company to ensure than no further funds are released - this will only work if your account is set to manual renewal and not automatic payment/renewal.  If you don't do this your credit card company or bank will tell you that you authorized the payment.

Should you need to contact Classmates.com by mail you can do so through their parent company.  Classmates.com is a subsidiary of Memory Lane, Inc dba Classmates.com,  3333 Elliott Ave W #500, Seattle, WA 98118. 

Their phone numbers are 206-301-5700 and 425-917-5000 and their hours of operation are 8:00am - 5:00pm PT.

In some states it is illegal to renew a consumer subscription/membership without providing notice. If you live in Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New Mexico, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania. Tennessee, Utah or Wisconsin you should report this to the state's Attorney General's office or to the state Consumer Affairs Dept. 

Note: the reason I suggest screen shots is to provide these to your credit card company or bank should it become necessary when you advise them that you have cancelled your membership and that you changed your status from automatic to manual. Once they are shown that you have not authorized automatic payments, they should not honor any payment request from Memory Lane, Inc dba Classmates.com
