Follow these steps:
1) Check power cable outlet. The cable could be broken in joints.
2) Open up the side panel and check to see if there is any bad burn smell from PSU and computer. Is there any burning from the graphic card or the power supply. If there is a burning in the graphic card it is 100% likely that the power supply will smell.
3) Ensure that the power supply cords are properly plugged in and that there are no loose cables.
4) Check the CPU AND Ensure that there are no blown caps. If they are releasing white liquid or dried out inside,then its time to replace the caps.
