Rv 36 Cooktop Ventilation That Raises And Lowers Is Malfunctioning. First Filty

first filter button blinked, but worked ok, then later would come on and fan button blinking but not raise up nor fan run, could hear clicking sound, probably the moter that raises the vent? next got it up, got it to run once, but would not cut off without many button pushes. last night, came on by itself, heard clicking, unit did not come up at all but 2 or 3 fan speed buttons were blinking. messed with them, cut off power, resumed power, lights all out. hour later buzzing and etc. able to lift up vent slowly by holding down up down button and gently lifting, but now no lights for 2 hours. i am an experienced DIY with electrcal experience and equipt. but first attempt to diagnose. attempts to downlowad manuals all failed, maybe my computer and Explorer, but needed suggestions and diagnostic advice. need pics to know even hou to pull out rubber coated button cover on top of vent without damaging to see if contacts are corroded etc. hard to find info on this 8 or 9 year old vent system.

Yes. After turning power off and on. The ventilator stayed in the up position, the external fan begin to run blowing air outside as usual, although it cut off and on and off and on sometimes in 3 seconds sometimes after running a minuite, during this time the control buttons (2 or 3 in unisom) blinking in rapid time with the vibrating external motor, then sometimes after 5 minutes of the above, the external fan motor mounted outside on the wall would just quit running totally. the outside vibrates like a bad wobbly bearing sound but good bit off exhaust air is blowing out the outside cabinet where the blower motor is located (there is no blower under the kitchen cabinet, it is a remote blower).
