Continuous Igniter Sparks At Times After Flame Has Properly Started

All igniters start their burners quickly. At times, after one or two specific burners has been on cooking awhile, the igniters begin to operate continuously. I've checked the supply polarity and ground; all correct. I've had the igniters changed by a serviceman and it didn't help so I've been putting up with this. I'd like to understand if this is a deign defect or if it can actually be repaired. Repairmen want to replace the module. I think it's trial and error repair and expensive. What's the likely CAUSE of this and what's the best solution>
