Dell Inspiron N5030 What Do Lights Mean

Power Button Light

The Power/Battery indicator light turns ON steadily or blinks to indicate power/battery charge status. The light indicates the following states while charging or using the computer with:

an AC adapter Power Light Status Power State Solid white The computer is on/off and the battery is charging. Blinking white The computer is in standby mode. Off The computer is off or in hibernate mode. a battery Power Light Status Power State Solid white The computer is on. Blinking white The computer is in standby mode. Solid amber The battery charge is low. Connect the AC adapter to charge the battery. Off The computer is off or in hibernate mode. Power Button Power Light Status Power State Solid white The computer is on. Blinking white The computer is in standby mode. Off The computer is off or in hibernate mode.

NOTE:
There are 3 LEDs in front of the system. LED (Power Source; Battery Charge)Off/Hibernate (S5/S4)Standby (S3)On (S0) Power button LED (All; 0-100% charge) Off Breathing White Solid White Front edge power LED (All; 0-100% charge) Off Breathing White Solid White Front edge battery charge LED (Dell AC adapter; >98% charge) Off Off Off Front edge battery charge LED (Dell AC adapter; <=98% charge) Solid White Solid White Solid White Front edge battery charge LED - Also applies when adapter is plugged in but battery charge is disabled (Battery; <=10% charge) Off Solid Amber Solid Amber Front edge battery charge LED - Also applies when adapter is plugged in but battery charge is disabled (Battery; >10% charge) Off Off Off HDD LED Off Off To follow industry standard illumination in white when active. Camera LED (All sources; 0-100% charge) Off Off Solid White when streaming data.
