Vert. Flickering To Hort. White/black Bars

After 30 minutes of use it has vertical flickering and about 45min. to hour it gets worst and then the screen goes to solid Hort.bars (black/white). We have changed to new HDMI cords, and it still does this. Is the bulb going out? What is happening? Is there a adjustment somewhere to fix this problem?  Thanks for your quick response. Tim J
