How To Initialize A Dell Poweredge 2950 Drive

You will have to go to the Raid card BIOS to initialize the hard drives.
Assuming your server is having a:- 1. PERC 4 - refer to Initialize Menu topic on this manual ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/dell-perc-4-di_User%27s%20Guide11_en-us.pdf
2. PERC 5 - refer to page 25 on this manual ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_dell_adapters/poweredge-rc-6i_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf
