Can I Carry On A 5lb Bag Of Corn Meal Or Does It Have To Be Checked?

I will be going to Hondruas on a mission trip and was asked to bring a 5lb bag of corn meal.

I would recommend calling Delta at 1-800-221-1212 and ask them if corn meal is permitted on flights from the USA to Honduras. This would be a better question for Delta than TSA. I'm thinking that if you carry it on, it's going to be analyzed/scrutinized thoroughly by TSA to ensure there are no hazardous or illegal substances in the bag.
