What is the size allowed for a carry on bag?

Here are the bullet points from Delta's web site:
- Not exceed 45 inches (length + width + height), or 115 cm.
- Fit easily in our SizeCheck® unit (approximately 22"x14"x9", or 56x36x23 cm).
- Fit in an overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you.

Hi, There is a definite size for carry on luggage. You can check the airline website to see what their requirements/restrictions are.
As a rule of thumb the bag cannot weight more than 35 LBS, 24 length x 15.5 width x 9.5 depth.
Lots of things are changing for bags and carry=on's check the airline website before you go.
