No Response From Select Button

Screen says receiver is not on, but lights are on. It says press select but nothing happens. Receiver # R0079162673

It sounds like the remote may need to be readdressed to the receiver. If this is your TV 1, press the "Up" button on the front of the receiver itself. If this is TV 2, take the remote to your TV and access the System Information by pressing the "Menu" button twice.

Once you're on the System Information screen, make note of the "Primary Remote Address" or "Secondary Remote Address". Take the remote that is not working, and press the "Record" button 3 times and see if the number in the address field changes. If not, follow the steps below to address your remote to your receiver.

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if it works.
