Dropbox To Store A Quickbooks Company File

I am using Dropbox to store a Quickbooks company file that I open and use from two different locations. Dropbox is making duplicate copies of these files and we are losing data. What do I do to stop this?

Can I store my QuickBooks file in Dropbox?

To answer your question, the use of Dropbox for running the QuickBooks company files is technically possible but not recommended as it can cause problems with data integrity. In some cases, the files may even get corrupted or end up in a 'conflicted' state, becoming unusable.

Please respond to my effort to provide you with the best possible solution by using the "Acceptable Solution" and/or the "Helpful" buttons when the answer has proven to be helpful.
