Storing Batteries
I heard recently that a battery should be stored in the upright position so as to avoid unnecessary chemical reaction depleting the battery. Is this true?

A battery should ideally be stored in it's upright position, but it can be used in any position when placed in it's device. Transportation of the battery in an abnormal position may cause damage to the battery and deterioration.
