Seen Or Unseen

I sent a facebook message and saw the exact time it was seen as - a tick was showing bside the mesage for 2 days and now the tick has disappeared and the "seen at" time has disappeared. Why has this happened? Has it just been marked as unread or has the person deleted the message/conversation?

The message has been marked as unread. Currently, Facebook doesn't offer a feature that shows whether or not a message has been deleted. I wish it did though!
