You Are Logging In From A Device We Don't Recognise

That means you have usually always logged in to facebook from one specific device, such as your smartphone, but then, suddenly you logged in from a laptop (perhaps your phone was dead, etc) that signals a red flag to the facebook security mechanisms that are in place to recognise unusual user habits, and so the red flag alerts facebook security and they send you a pop up alert that will ask you to verify it is really you who has logged in from this unrecognised device. They usually do this by asking you to either answer personal security questions which are answers to information you submitted when signing up, or they will display random photos of your friends and ask you to identify the people in the pictures. They figure if the pics are in your photos you should know who the people are. usually don't like answering the photo questions because my friends tag me in pics with other people i may not know very well, or know thyeir last name, etc... and if you get them wrong they will lock you out of your account until you can verify your identity.
