Black Frigidaire Affinity Atf8000fe Electric Front Load Washer.

The Wash cycle does not start. The drum does not turn during washing/spin cycles. I can hear the "motor" running but nothing happens. During the water draining process, it stops. pausing and unpausing the washing machine will make it complete the draining of water.. Any suggestions? Thx..

Hello TheoTheo - First, does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. Also try to rotate the drum manually (when it is not in use) and see if you notice a bumping sound as well. If you do, then the drum is not balanced and probably the bearing and pulley system behind the drum will need repairing. Other possibilities to concern are a faulty door lock, timer, pump, or control board not communicating correctly. In this case I would contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose and repair the washer.
