Hi WarJunior -

From what you're describing, it sounds like it could be one of two things:

1) The outside temperature is extremely hot. If it is, set the fan speed to a faster setting to bring air through the cooling coils more frequently.

or

2) The air filter may be restricted. Clean the air filter and replace. Instructions can be found in  your owners' manual.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] Be sure to include your complete contact information, unit serial number and date of purchase along with subject line "Online help center".

Have a great week!

I would also suggest to clean the unit entirely after unplugging from power. Clean the filter and any coils or components you can reach, let dry, and plug back in. If the unit still is having concerns contact your manufacturer. This unit being around 15,000 BTU may opt to service the unit for repairs. Most of these units have a limited warranty after the 1st year so you may not have to pay too much out of pocket. From what you have mentioned sounds like the compressor may be going out on you - if that is the case this is a seal system component, you may have to look into replacing the unit if the manufacturer does not.

Hope this helps!
