Hot Center- Hard Rim

I used this model at a injury rehab. Then i purchased the same model for myself. I put the wax in and waited a few days(eventually). The red light was on a few hours then green. It seems the wax in the middle is too hot for my hands. But the rim has about 1 inch of solidified wax around the outside. Several times i scraped the hard wax into the middle. Return later and its the same result. At the therapy place there was more wax in that unit so i bought another pound and put in. So far nothing has changed. Im running out of options except emptying it and treating the tub with cooking spray or whatever might keep it off the wall

It sounds like you are having trouble with your HoMedics PAR-350 paraffin wax bath not melting evenly. Here are a few things you can try:

Make sure that the wax is the correct type for the unit. The PAR-350 is designed for use with paraffin wax, not soy wax or other types of wax.

Use the correct amount of wax. The PAR-350 can hold up to 1 pound of wax. If you use too much wax, it will not melt evenly.

Make sure that the unit is plugged in properly and that the power cord is not damaged.

Try a different outlet. Sometimes a power outlet can be faulty and not deliver enough power to the unit.

If you have tried all of the above and the wax is still not melting evenly, you may need to contact HoMedics customer service for assistance.

Here are some additional tips for preventing your paraffin wax bath from melting unevenly:

Do not overfill the unit with wax.

Stir the wax occasionally while it is melting. This will help to ensure that it melts evenly.

If the wax starts to solidify around the edges, scrape it off and add more hot wax to the center.

Do not leave the unit unattended while it is in use.

Allow the unit to cool completely before storing it.

I hope these tips help you to get your paraffin wax bath working properly.
