Delivery Status Notification (failure)‏

Hi there, i am in a great deal of wonder...i have sent an email to an emailaddress, but i got back an email with the words "Delivery Status Notification(Failure)". Now, i've been sending alot of emails to the same emailaddress....never a problem..... until today......same emailaddress but i got the email with Delivery Status Notification (Failure)‏ how can i know for sure that my email has been received?? And second, is it possible that that email was a mistake from hotmail itself....not just my fault??? Thank u in advance for ur response... Regards, Dani.
