My Hotmail Account I Guess Has Been Deleted. I Had To Set Up A New Account.

Around the 1st of march my hotmail account was deleted. I forgot my old password to access the account. In the old days if I had done that they would just email me my password. I set up a new account and tried to link from my old account to the new one, wont let me because I dont have my old password. When I try it says it will be sent to me via email how is that going to help since I cant access it because I forgot my password?
