My Hotmail Account Has Been Hacked Into. The Person Responsible Has Been Contact

The person who hacked into my account has been posing as me and sending e-mails to my friends stating I am in in England and I need &2500.00 right away. I can't get onto my account to change my password. I need to recover my account. I made a complaint on-line but I haven't heard anything. I need HELP!
