My Hotmail Account Is Sending Out Bogus Messages To People On My Contact's List.
Each message contains a link to what is probably a virus or -?- What is going on? And how can this be stopped? This must be a problem with hotmail.

You've been infected with Generic PWS.y.y!yn or something like that. It's a stupid Trojan where some jerk is trying to violate spam laws by sending out ads without getting himself into law violates on spamming.
McAfee detects this and quarentines it It is usually in your localsettings/temp/iexplorer.exe folder.
Change your email password, too.
