Wont Start

Finshed mowing the lawn and let idle for two min. Turned the Key off to clean with air. After blowing it off tried to start to put away and would only fire over in the choke position and run for 2-seconds and stop like it was running out of gas. Plenty of gas in the tank. Fuel switch on. Brake on, blade disengauged, with me sitting on the seat. Took fuel line off going to carb and turned engine over and it pumped fuel. Filter is clean. Is this a sensor problem or a carb prob? The mower was running great before I turned it off.
