I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Invacare 5310IVC semi electric hospital bed.

Here are some steps you can attempt:

1. Check the remote for any visible damages or battery issues.

2. Double-check to make sure all cables and wires are connected properly.

3. It's also possible there might be a motor malfunction.

Keep in mind, problems such as these might require professional help.

Please contact your local Invacare Service Center or a qualified technician for further assistance. They'll have the necessary tools and experience to diagnose and hopefully fix the issue without causing any further problems.

Remember it's important to avoid any attempts to fix the bed by yourself as it may void any warranty or result in unwanted damage.

There are a few possible reasons why an Invacare 5310IVC head won't raise or lower:

Faulty headrest actuator. The headrest actuator is the motor that moves the headrest up and down. If the actuator is faulty, the headrest will not move.

Faulty headrest control switch. The headrest control switch is the switch that you use to raise and lower the headrest. If the switch is faulty, the actuator will not receive the signal to move the headrest.

Faulty wiring. The wiring that connects the headrest actuator to the headrest control switch may be faulty. If the wiring is faulty, the actuator will not receive the signal to move the headrest.

**Faulty power supply.**The power supply that provides power to the headrest actuator may be faulty. If the power supply is faulty, the actuator will not have enough power to move the headrest.

To troubleshoot the problem, you can try the following:

Check the headrest actuator for proper operation. You can do this by disconnecting the actuator from the wiring and connecting it directly to a power source. If the actuator moves, it is working properly. If the actuator does not move, it is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Check the headrest control switch for proper operation. You can do this by using a multimeter to check the continuity of the switch. If the switch is working properly, there will be continuity between the terminals of the switch when it is pressed. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Check the wiring for continuity. You can do this by using a multimeter to check the continuity of the wires between the headrest actuator and the headrest control switch. If there is no continuity, the wiring is faulty and needs to be repaired or replaced.

Check the power supply for proper operation. You can do this by using a voltmeter to check the voltage at the power supply terminals. If the voltage is correct, the power supply is working properly. If the voltage is incorrect, the power supply is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, you can take your wheelchair to a qualified technician.
