From KLM's website:
How do I arrange for the transport of a deceased person?
A deceased person must be transported as freight. It would be best to arrange this through a funeral director.
If the deceased has been cremated, you may take the urn with you into the cabin only:
- if the urn has been sealed and if it fits under your seat or in the overhead bin.
- once you have submitted a copy of the death certificate and/or a letter from the crematorium to the security check officials.
The urn need not be opened during the security check.
