Kenwood Excelon X797 Static.
Just bought a brand new kenwood excelon x797. Brand new kenwood 4" 4ohm 140w. 3way speakers. When I turn the volume up past 18 ( top volume is 35 ) static kicks in. Not real loud at 18 as well but sounds ok under 18. Checked ground. Checked + and - on speakers. Tried different speakers ( 8ohm ). Still have static. Could it be to many fuses. One in the head unit ( built in ) I put pan inline on power and fuse box. There is a red and yellow power cable in the wire harnest , could I have them backwards ? Already exchanged head unit and still the same static. Same static playing radio cd and iPhone. This is all with the car not running and key in acc. Position. Thanks hope someone can help.
