My 50pg20-ua Lg Plasma Tv Wont Turn On

I had the same problem with my LG Plasma 50PG20-UA tv. After calling LG and finding out it was a few months out of its warranty and it would be at least a couple hundred dollars for repair man to come out I researched the heck out of the problem. There is many many people who have had the exact same problem with this set. And it is my understanding that there are 5 capacitors on the power supply board that unfortunately are not rated high enough and are bound to blow eventually. After unplugging it and taking off back cover I confirmed it visually ont he power supply board. I purchased the new capacitors and watched a handful of videos teaching me how to solder and now I have my tv back.
Check out the above information and inspect your tv carefully though. Make sure you unplug it and still don't touch anything as electricity could still be running through some of the parts on the boards. You can tell which capacators are blown by the top of them looking pushed out or expanded a little.
