Removing the rear seat from a 2010 Lincoln MKS is a fairly straightforward process, but it's helpful to have a visual guide to follow along. Here's a step-by-step breakdown with images:

Tools you'll need:

Socket wrench with 13mm and 15mm sockets

Torx wrench (T30)

Trim removal tool (optional)

Steps:

Fold the seat backrest forward. Locate the lever on the top of the seat backrests near the center and pull it forward to release the latches. Fold the backrests flat onto the bottom seat cushion.

Remove the headrests (optional). If you prefer, you can remove the headrests for easier access. Press the button on the side of the headrest post and pull it upwards.

Locate the seat cushion bolts. Underneath the front edge of the bottom seat cushion, you'll find two 13mm bolts on each side holding the cushion in place.

Unscrew the bolts. Use your socket wrench with the 13mm socket to loosen and remove the bolts on both sides.

Unclip the electrical connector (optional). On some models, there might be an electrical connector for the seat belt warning light near the passenger side bolt. Simply unclip it carefully.

Lift the seat cushion. Once the bolts are removed, you can gently lift the front edge of the seat cushion and pull it forward to detach it from the vehicle.

Remove the seat belt anchors. Now, locate the two 15mm bolts holding the seat belt anchors on each side. Unbolt them using your socket wrench.

Detach the seat belt brackets. Once the bolts are removed, lift the metal seat belt brackets straight up to detach them from the studs on the floor.

Pull the seat cushion out. Finally, you can slide the entire seat cushion out of the vehicle through the rear door opening.

Tips:

Work slowly and carefully to avoid damaging any components.

If you're having trouble removing the seat cushion, check for any additional bolts or wires that might be holding it in place.

Be mindful of the seat belt electrical connector, if present, and disconnect it carefully.

When reinstalling the seat, follow the steps in reverse order.

Remember, if you're not comfortable performing this task yourself, you can always consult a professional mechanic for assistance.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
