Your magicJack may not work properly, or at all

if you're not logged on to your Windows user account,
if it's not running,
if it's not secured in the USB port,
if the phone cord is not secured or is broken,
if you're not connected to the Internet,
if without a powered USB hub several phones are used to generate power from a USB port,
or if your magicJack device is defective.

If the device is not defective, these simple actions may resolve the problem. Or you may try these instructions. If the device is defective, you need to return it. If you bought it from magicJack, follow the instructions at http://my.magicjack.com/returns.html.

If it's too late to return the device, you can seek a resolution with your credit card company or with the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221.

If you can hear the person and they cannot hear you, there might be a problem with the microphone of your device. Make sure that the microphone is working properly, if it doesn't let some techicians out there to repair the particular microphone. He may open the entire device and replace the defective part. Goodluck.
