Help With A 'protection Layers Not Turned On' Notice

I keep getting Malwarebytes notices that one or more protection layers are turned off. When I click the turn-on button, nothing changes and the notice pops up again. Tried to change the settings but no go. Tried several times to contact customer service but not getting any response.
