Maytag Gemini Gas Range Mgr6785adw

Dear Sir/madam, In March 2008 I purchased this double oven gas range. In the past year it has started to have issues with the control display panel which is on the back splash wall. When either of the ovens are on or the back burners are on the display gets hot and stops working properly. At times it will lock and I can't change the settings, turn off the oven or anything; have to unplug it to turn off the oven. Or it keeps turning on an oven; sometimes the top oven and sometimes the lower oven. It seems to definitely be heat related. It has been getting steadily worse in the past 4 months. It is becoming dangerous as I have come back into the kitchen 30 min after baking and found the oven has turned itself back on and is heating again! Or the other oven I didn't use has now turned on and is heating. And it is now so bad in the past 5 days that I cannot get the oven to turn on and be adjustable. It keeps beeping at me and flashing the oven temp. It is difficult to get it to set to a particular temperature and it tends not to hold to a temp; can by 60 or 80 degrees lower 15 min after it reaches the requested temperature. I think the electronics are shot and it is not even 3 years old. What do you think is wrong? what needs replacing? How can I get this oven working in a safe fashion? Angela
