If you've replaced the batteries and ensured that the CD player has a good, working CD inserted, but the Memorex Model #md6451blk still does not power on, there are a few things you can check. Here are some troubleshooting steps:

1. Battery Polarity: Make sure the batteries are inserted in the correct orientation according to the markings inside the battery compartment. Sometimes, it's easy to accidentally put the batteries in the wrong way.

2. Battery Contacts: Check the battery contacts inside the compartment to ensure they are clean and free from corrosion. If the contacts are dirty or corroded, clean them with a soft, dry cloth or a cotton swab.

3. Battery Compartment Cover: Ensure that the battery compartment cover is securely closed and latched. Sometimes, a poorly closed battery compartment cover can prevent the device from turning on.

4. Power Button: Verify that you are pressing the power button correctly and firmly. Try pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds to see if the device responds.

5. Reset: Some electronic devices have a reset button or a reset procedure outlined in the user manual. Consider performing a reset if applicable to your CD player.

If you've tried these steps and the Memorex CD player still doesn't power on, there may be a more technical issue with the device that requires professional assistance. In that case, contacting Memorex customer support for further guidance or taking it to a qualified technician for diagnose and repair.
